I'm back!!!!!!! What IS a trunk show? In my case insanity!

Usually it is a designer  representing an upcoming season's offerings,
being either jewelry, accessories, or apparel.
 Things that are easily portable.
So when I hooked up with Leslie Sinclair at Segreto she was having one featuring her Goldenthread jewelry. She and I thought since she was doing a trunk show  It would be nice if Beadboard could join and introduce Arte Pura to Houston.

So usually the designer brings extra goodie for people to see and
People walk out with something they usually didn't get in the shop all the time.

I SHOULD BE SELLING JEWELRY!!!!!!!!!!!
BUT NOOOOOOOO!  I RENT A MOVING TRUCK AND DO THIS!

I bring MY ENTIRE SHOP (almost) so people can see Arte Pura the way it is supposed to be seen in an Arte Pura Shop.

Now,  I know how to drive a Penske moving truck in wind and rain and I actually backed it into a hotel parking space.....HEHE/  Robes couldn't believe it. I was very proud of myself.

Leslie graciously gave us her sample room and we (no I did) merchandised the color of her artistic samples with the Arte Pura linens.  And we had beautiful examples of Brahms Mount blankets in cotton and linen from Maine thanks to  Ben Gay their very wonderful representative....... You wouldn't believe how good they feel.......... In another blog we will elaborate......

Here is a table I brought down. Centerpiece came next day, cute little Aviary Cloches with White Peacocks on them.  AND all the pretty Evento Slipcovers...... We sold several and had to keep pulling them off and putting them on!

I even brought Portoagettis ( Italian Fabric baskets)Along with curtains, pillow shams, bedding , table runners, and clothing.  WOW clothing in linen by Daniella Delavalle.....Here is another Portoagetti.....(It took me weeks to spell this)

This one was filled with little pillow mists from Durance in the Cotton Flower fragrance........ I broke the tester,  The place smelled great.!

Another Portoagetti filled with Amorino Soaps......

A newly converted Arte Pura lover.... Will be getting gorgeous gray pillow shams soon with French Tulle lace.
A big thank you to Leslie and her staff, all of her things in her boutique complimented what we brought so beautifully, and she had wonderful light bites and wine......And a big thank you to the two gentleman from C & Moving and storage who helped me unload when I got there in the rain..... Oh Yes Both days......But all in all a great day..... And a special thank you to Robes, and our Friends Kathy and Bruce Watson who helped me pack this all up........I am in their debt....
Overall a great day!!!!!!!!!!! But POOPED!
BUT NOW Houston has been introduced to Arte Pura and they LOVED IT!

Rivera Maison Spring 2013!! WOW!

If you are in winter weather read all of this..
You will feel like you are in Sanibel Island, this years inspiration for
Riviera Maison's spring collection... This umbrella rocks!!!!

And look there are little ones for the table!!!!!! look at these placemats, mini soup tureens.....

This of the most popular showrooms at Paris market.

Love these outdoor showers(like wooden pallets) and the light fixtures.......

Something for everyone here, pillows, doormats, bottles, jars, beach blankets, Makes you want to go buy a beach house!!!!!

Don't you love all the different chairs around this table????? Casual clever and of course a great way to showcase their many chair styles.....

Light fixtures to die for, more fabulous chairs.........
 Flower containers very innovative........

More great chairs..  Note the one on the upper Left.
Why? Because with the tufting they always include a signature button, looks like Nickel with "RM" in script on it...... DETAILS!!!!!

We all remember the "Je ne sais Quoi" Sofa...... This is another new offering note the contrast welt.... Passe???  Not if it is done well.

More great chairs......Love the table setting..... ( Not tablescapes)
I confess that term makes me cringe.....
One sets the table not scapes it.......OOOH  didn't I sound lofty?????

As everyone knows Beadboard specializes in linens....
But I always appreciate something new.....
Whimsical, comfy and fun here it is.......

If you have a home by the beach or just like beach design,
and want to pass of the norm how about this fresh take???????
I like it here.

OK STOP.  I love this whole vignette, the "frites" holder with the paper matching the pillows, the "Moules"pots or steamers with the lids turning into bowls, the drawers in the table the hooks on the side... Great innovation!

Close up of the Moules Pot on a trivet that when open looks like a house! Love the mitts....

A dome filled with shells ribbon on top.

See the blackboard?  Paris loves Riviera Maison Too! Judging from the attandance in this booth.

One thing they do is install a large bar and serve espresso, Prosecco, chocolate truffles, coookies, bottles water all in Rivera glasses, mugs etc....... they used blackboard paint on the back of the bar..Europeans love to present  their champagne, proseco white wine in those big wide silver bowls..... Love how that looks.  So who is responsible for all of these fabulous details????????

This delightful gentleman, who heads up the design team for Riviera Maison Nicolaas Tijsen aka "Nico". From the coffee cups designed with holes for the spoons in the handle to the home furnishings, the talented Nico has his stamp on everything they make..... He was gracious enough to chat with us for a while looking pretty dapper in his English tweed jacket and his British Flag Pocket square.
Everyone in this showroom exudes personality and warmth from the owner Henk Teunissen, sales managers like Badouin and the rest of the team.  It is obvious they love their products and their excitement in infectious....... Want to hear more decorating ideas from NICO?
He has a blog, Nicolicious!!!!!! www.nicolicious.com Thank you Riviera Maison!!!!
The Dutch hit another home run!

I'm in love with Anna French and Thibaut!

Everyone knows Thibaut and Anna French from the UK teamed up with beautiful fabrics, laces and wallpapers.
But now they are offering furniture.......

The furniture will have the beautiful offerings of both with the added treat of wallcoverings........ This duvet fabric blows me out of the water. By Thibaut. Gibralter Embroidery in Blue.

This is a great selection of Anna French' s Ballad Collection. Light and medium weaves of embroidered linens in fabulous colors with a European edge of sophistication......The following images are part of that collection.

I know you are getting sick of me saying this but this is my favorite...Standish Embroidery available in Flax, White and Blue....The flowers are amazing they pick up colors around them.
On the white they look lilac in some light.... Amazing!

This is the Arran Embroidery. Big, Fortuny like, only better I think as the background weave is a herringbone........

This is a clever mix of Lace and a contemporary metal table
called Chalice.

Here is Roselli Trellis..... There is a pinkish color way that is to die for.

The Francis Embroidery can go with anything....

Here is the Lithgow Stripe.

This is Thibault fabric featured on one of their ottomans..... Their new furniture line is fabulous......This is from a new collection Biscayne,
Beachy.......

Nope not Lilly Pulitzer, Thibault........

One of their new chairs. Priced Very nicely I might add with a nice selection of finishes........

I
I can see myself curling up here and love the wall paper.

Another example of the furniture and a wallpaper coordinating with a previous fabric in this post. I think they are doing a great job!
Now available to the trade as well as our wonderful customers at
Beadboard UpCountry.  Already proving itself to be a favorite!!!!!!
